A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
A little clarity about what comes back, and how.
A workspace records selected apps and windows, their positions, sizes, and monitor placement. It can also save File Explorer folders, browser URLs, and an optional screenshot.
It restores the workspace arrangement. Unsaved document contents, browser sessions, and the internal state of other apps are not saved by Layout Recall.
No. Local capture and restore work without an account or server. An account and internet connection are only needed if you choose to use cloud features.
Layout Recall verifies the result and reports items that need attention. Protected or elevated apps, missing files, and changes to your monitor setup can affect restoration. You can review the result and retry.
When a browser URL was successfully captured, restore opens that page in a fresh browser window. It does not recover every tab, sign-in session, or unsaved page state. URL capture can depend on the browser and its permissions.
Layout Recall is a Windows desktop app. This page demonstrates the idea in your browser; the actual capture and restore features run in the Windows application. A public Windows installer is not linked in this preview.
